THURSDAY MUSIC EVENINGS “NOSKAŅAS”

Summer Thursday music evenings return to the NOASS Art Centre! Four Thursday evenings of music concerts will take place as part of the “Noskaņas” series, which has become an annual tradition promoting local independent and talented musicians. Free admission!

11.07. / 20:00 / AMORĀLĀ PSIHOZE

Amorālā Psihoze was formed as a side-project of Damby (Inokentij Marpls) to express themselves in various experimental genres – the music is influenced by new wave, jazz intonations, avant-garde moods, etc.

The musicians in the concerts are not fixed – they vary from four to eight members. The most frequent musicians are Raimonds Lagimovs (Dambis), Kaspars Putriņš, Sniedze Prauliņa, Jānis Burmeisters, Jānis Ruņģis, etc.

18.07. / 20:00 / GRAB & TRĪNEunINGA

“Grab is an experimental rock band that is fascinated by musical harmonic and structural chaos. The band uses traditional rock band instrumentation – drums, guitars, bass and vocals – as well as electronic instruments.

TRINEunINGA is a brand new experimental duo performing improvised music with saxophones and effects pedals.

The duo consists of Katrīne Sabīne Kalniņa (alto saxophone), a member of bands such as Aston Kais, Rīgas Modes, DZ, and Inga Vamze (tenor saxophone), who has just graduated from the Jazz Music Department of the JVLMA.

Helēna Kozlova is a bright and charismatic personality on the Latvian music map, the owner of a delightful voice and the creator of transcendent music.

As an artist in music – her songs conjure up a unique mood.

Helēna Kozlova was once a soloist of the band “Skumju akmeņi”, then started performing solo.
Since 2005, Helēna has been the creative nucleus of the band “Levīti”, but now continues to perform alone as a songwriter, playing both guitar and piano.

“Pamirt” – the final concert of the “Noskaņas” cycle at the NOASS art center.

Pamirt is a dark music quintet from Riga, which started in 2017 as Kristiana Kārkliņa’s (eschatos) voice and piano experiments. Other group members are Edgars Gultnieks (guitar) and Edvards Percevs (drums), Dāvis Burmeisters (guitar) and Jānis Emīls (bass, sounds).
The group’s debut album “Mausoleum” was nominated for the annual Latvian music award “Zelta mikrofons 2021” in the alternative and experimental music album category. The album was released digitally, on vinyl under the umbrella of the Dutch publishing house “Tartarus Records”, as well as on audiocassettes.
